About American Mortgage Partners

Based in Santa Rosa, Calif., American Mortgage Partners (AMP) was established in 2007 by Rick Costa, a mortgage professional with nearly 30 years in the business. AMP is a mortgage banker specializing in FHA, VA, USDA RD, FHA 203K and Reverse Mortgage loans. With offices throughout the state of California, AMP is an independently owned, HUD-approved lender — an important distinction in unsure economic times.

Meet The Team!

Rick G. Costa

President

A mortgage professional since 1983, Rick Costa serves as president of American Mortgage Partners, directing the day-to-day operations of the company. His hands-on philosophy involves him in every aspect of the loan process, from pricing and underwriting to auditing and submissions. Rick’s experience include working for and running numerous mortgage companies throughout Northern California prior to founding AMP in 2007. He holds a real-estate broker license from the California Department of Real Estate and has extensive experience in all aspects of FHA/VA loan processing.

Kendall Holmes

Closing Department Manager/Accounting

Kendall has been in the mortgage industry for 7 years, with a prior accounting background, so she is diverse in her role at American Mortgage Partners. Kendall has worked in all phases of closing from drawing loan documents to the sale of loans to the investor on a correspondent level. She is also responsible for the Accounting, Human Resources and managing the Warehouse Line. Kendall understands the “urgency” of the business and has worked closely with everyone from Loan Officers to Investors, knowing that service and communication are of the utmost importance at American Mortgage Partners. She also balances work with a family, which is very important to her and makes her able to relate to people on all different levels. Kendall knows the need to be a team player at American Mortgage Partners.

Lynne Garrison

Underwriter

 Lynne began working in the Real Estate Industry in 1985 where she began her career researching title and assisting with escrow transactions, ultimately earning a position as escrow officer.

In 1998 she moved into the lending side of mortgage banking. Lynne quickly advanced into loan processing and reaching her goal as Senior Underwriter in 2008. In 2010 she received her FHA  DE approval status.

Shannon Morales

Jr. Loan Processor

Shannon has been in the mortgage industry since 2006 and provides office support for a team of 12. She is the office  assistant who can wear multiple hats! Responsibilities of handling time sensitive files and expediting our loan pipeline," I provide support for our company in this fast paced, high volume environment. My objective is to make it happen and you a client for life and to create an experience that exceeds your expectations"  Her favorite quote that she like to live by is  “Help others achieve their dreams and you will achieve yours. Liz Begley

Quality Control

Liz has workedin the mortgage industry since 1976with extensive experience in, Underwriting, Management, Processing,  Secondary Marketing and Originating.Her positionat American Mortgage Partners consist of  Quality Control/ Risk Management.  "I truly enjoy the Mortgage Industry and embrace the never ending changes this industry offers.  The many challenges presented to me daily, both professionally and personally have contributed to my ability to resolve  issues presented in a professional and compassionate manner, often thinking “outside” the box, looking for the best possible outcome for the entire team is something I always do."  I am the proud Mother of a teenage Son, and aside from my work my Family is most important.  I have been a volunteer for the past 6 years with the local Little League and  have participated in various other volunteer projects.

Tami Hurt

Closing/Funding

Tami has been in the mortgage industry for over 20 years, starting with setup and working her way up to the Closing Manager for Cal Bay Mortgage prior to its closing in 2008. She has been with American Mortgage Partners since 2009.  She has a versatile work experience which includes pre-disclosure, loan doc drawing, funding, shipping and loan settelement.  Tami understands the need for organization and time constraints and is always willing to go the extra mile. She works very closely with the Loan Officers and knows that service and communication are so very important here at American Mortgage Partners. Family is very important to Tami, she is the proud mother to a beautiful daughter and a son who serves our country in the Navy, and has  2 beautiful grandchildren who she loves to spend her off time with.
